PPD Pass and ARE done!
Posted: Mon Feb 19, 2018 2:16 pmFiiiiiiinally passed PPD which wraps up my ARE adventure. I still have the CSE to go, though so I'll be lurking around here for a while longer...
This time I felt confident going in about my knowledge of the material I would be tested on but uneasy about some of the tricky question-phrasing I come across on ARE tests. However, having taking this (too many) times before, I knew what to expect. For whatever reason, the program lag time wasn't nearly as bad on this test as I've experienced before.
Regarding study content, PPD and PDD are very, very similar, but PPD leans more planning and Design Development-stage decisions whereas PDD is more CD-level items. Between PPD and PDD studying I feel like I've given everything at least a couple read-throughs--Ballast study guide/tests, MEEB, Ching, Jenny's notes, Archiflash. Ching BCI, however, is my absolute favorite and read it cover-to-cover over and over and over again. Also worth giving FEMA a quick read before PPD.
