Project Manual

Project Manual

In David's Flash Card. It says Excluding the drawing, what two documents are part of the bid document but not part of the project manual?
1. Invitation to Bidders/ Instructions to Bidders
2. Form of Agreement between owner and contractor.

The second one is not true because A101 should be part of the project manual.

From what i understood, project manual consists of the followings:

Invitation to bid
Instruction to Bidders
Info available to Bidders
Pre qualification form
Bid Form and attachment
bid Security
Owner and Contractor Agreement (A101)
Performance bond and Payment bond (A312)
Certificates of insurance
General Conditions (A201)
Supplementary Conditional (A511)
Specifications

David is clearly wrong. Take a look at this graphic. I used this when I was in school, it is slightly old, but I think it still applies. If I am wrong, someone let me know, but I think the correct answer to the question is: Addenda and Contract Modifications.

Contract modifications are not part of bid docs.

Coach is right. Drawing and addenda. You cant bid on change orders, change directives and ASIs. Bidders have no way to know that in advance as how many changes will be in the future. And also no one is issuing any contract modification during bidding phase.
