Parking Requirement

Parking Requirement

Postby BITINGTHEDUST » Mon Oct 12, 2015 12:06 pm

This is the basic question, but I am confused...

Who check the following items, planning department or building?

1. parking requirement (how many parking space you need?)

2. accessible van parking requirement (how many accessible van parking required where?)

Any info would be appreciated!

Thank you, Coach!

I always appreciate your help.

I am taking the second one at the beginning of Nov, hoping I can pass this time around...

This is a good question.
I read fr Woo: Federal bd are exempted from local land use regulations,
including Gen Plan. So if you are designing a building for the Fed,
then GSA is the only agency you have to deal with, besides
local planning for parking issues
?
And you can build a factory in middle of a residential neighborhood ?
This building obviously will connect to local utility/sewage/stormdrain/etc...
what about that ?
What if this fed factory generates noise, tox and traffic, and also introduces
bulky mass building ? I assume that if the building generates env. impact then
GSA wd be the Lead agency, per se, coordinating, review the EIS process ?
Anyone ?

While technically exempt, they do cooperate.
