change order

change order

Does the time associated with a change order ever count as an additional service or is it built into the C.A billing phase of the project?
For instance- if a G.C presents multiple change order request for the architect to review on a project.
What if the client does not involve the architect in C.A- how would he respond to a change order?

Thanks for the referral to the correct contract doc. Coach
FYI- I actually learn more from coach's one lined responses forcing me to dig deeper myself and understand the document.
But for the sake of the forum- here's what I found

AIA B101 4.3.2 To avoid delays in const. phase, the architect shall provide the following additional services, notify the owner with reasonable promptness, and explain the facts and circumstances given rise to the need.
3 Preparing change orders and change order directives that require evaluation of contract's proposals and supporting data or preparation or revision of instruments of service
5 Evaluating substitutions proposed by the owner or contractor and making subsequent revisions to the instruments of service resulting therefrom
