Can someone please help explain:
I understand that the California Building Standards Code is Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations. I understand that the CCR has other Titles relating to things such as Education, Law, etc. and it has 28 Titles total.
I understand that the CBSC (Title 24) is divided in 12 Parts and that Part 2 represents the CBC (California Building Code).
However when I get to Knowledge Statement #17 - CA Health and Safety Code I get confused.
From Doucette - "California law consists of 29 codes and Health and Safety is just one of the codes. .... Here are the 29 codes" and he goes on to list them all such as Education, Family, and Health and Safety.
I don't understand how these all fit together. Is the CBSC a regulation whereas the Health and Safety Code is a law? Is the health and safety code just a different code to the CBSC? If so why are there 29 of them? I know that's not like a typo because the websites for the CCR and the for the California Law clearly show different headings.
