If the architect doesn't respond to submittal...

Postby anonymous283 » Wed Apr 04, 2018 12:00 pm

I remember a practice test question saying something along the lines that if an architect doesn't respond to a submittal in x days, the contractor considers the submittal approved. I can't find the question and maybe I'm wrong but is this true and how many days? Would that contradict the statement in a201 about responding just with reasonable promptness with no time limit?

Reasonable time for review is what A201 says and what governs in this case.

In practice, it is true that 10 working days is considered reasonable time for most submittals, though.

Nope. Read A201.3.12.7.
