NCARB Vignette First Try

Postby madcap3693 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 5:22 pm

Hi Everyone. Time to jump into CDS. Can you please review my first NCARB Vignette attempt? I wasn't able to draw a grade line for some reason. The option was grayed out. I did two images, each with the reference floor plans from either the first or second floor. I'm a total newbie to this vignette so any beginners tips etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

The images are kind of small but they look correct. I would advice you to tell us your joist/duct combination just so that anyone can let you know if its correct or not. Another advice is to read the post on vignettes here and you will learn a lot from them.

Any better method for posing larger sized files for review? I will include joist / duct combos in the future.

Thanks!

Not fire rated partition should only extend 6" above the ceiling. Fire rated walls should touch the slab (it doesn't look like it does on second floor). Joists should overlap the bearing wall 2-3"
