CSI MasterFormat

Which form of the MasterFormat specs is relevant for these exams? I ask because most of the study materials being passed around have the 5 digit spec numbers rather than 6 digit. In a handful of practice exams the questions have asked using the 5 digit but I've also read about the 6 digit is some of the study material. The other difference is even more troublesome because certain materials have moved location and the divisions are completely renumbered. Instead of 16 divisions there's something like 35. Either way, I'm just moving on to other material right now but I'd really love some clarity on this one so I can review the proper material before my exam next week.

Which one of these is the most relevant version is what I'm specifically asking.

The one that looks like this: From 2004 http://www.archtoolbox.com/representati ... ns.html#01
Division 01 - General Requirements
01 00 00 - General Requirements
01 10 00 - Summary
01 20 00 - Price and Payment Procedures
01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements
01 40 00 - Quality Requirements
01 50 00 - Temporary Facilities and Controls
01 60 00 - Product Requirements
01 70 00 - Execution and Closeout Requirements
01 80 00 - Performance Requirements
01 90 00 - Life Cycle Activities

Or the one that looks like this: from 1995 http://www.archtoolbox.com/representati ... sions.html
Division 1 - General Requirements
01100 - Summary
01200 - Price and Payment Procedures
01300 - Administrative Requirements
01400 - Quality Requirements
01500 - Temporary Facilities and Controls
01600 - Product Requirements
01700 - Execution Requirements
01800 - Facility Operation
01900 - Facility Decommissioning

Does it even matter?

It matters in educating yourself correctly. All exam study guides now use the new format. Some offices still use the old format, some do not.
