Measured Drawings aka As-Built Drawings are considered an additional service According to AIA- B-101-2007 when prepared by the architect at the end of the construction of the project.
Record Drawings are Drawings prepared by the contractor, they are basically mark-ups of Construction Documents.

Nope. Measured drawings are of existing conditions.

Check out http://www.aia.org/aiaucmp/groups/secur ... 026835.pdf

Measured drawings are the drawings of an existing building after being built.
As-constructed record drawings are the drawings GC merks up on their job site copy with red pen as the changes occur.
As-designed record drawings, according to the link above, means Architect redrawing GC mark-ups...although "As-designed" sounds like "original design before changes".....does someone have AHPP to verify "as-designed record drawings" definition?

Thanks for the link Coach, I didn't even know we can read this online.
So, to clarify, "as-built" and "record" drawings are the past.
Now, accordingly to AIA, only "as-designed record" and "as-constructed record" drawings exist.
I am sure, architects will invent ADRD and ACRD for these.
Lots of terminologies like this should be revised to avoid miss-use, like
that of "essential" and "essential service" buildings in CA.

Is there an AIA contract that I can use to provide existing measured drawings. The client wants to have me provide a separate measured drawing package before we lock in a proposal for the addition to the house.
Does anyone have a standard contract form for this scope of work.
