Advising Clients to use AIA forms

Is the Architect allowed to advise the client to use the AIA forms?
I am seeing conflicting answers between Kaplan and Archiflash.

In general I see it stated that the architect can recommend that the client consider using AIA forms. (notice the soft wording). The architect should not help create the contracts for the owner/contractor or give legal advice, restricting advice solely to technical/design/architectural issues.

B101 3.5.1 states "the Architect shall assist the Owner in....awarding and preparing contracts for construction"
Ballast's chapter on contract agreements emphasizes the words "shall assist."

As stated, an architect can recommend AIA forms be used but cannot not make a owner do so. It is up to the owners legal counsel to create, edit and issue the contract between owner and contractor.

Thanks all, there are certainly a few cases of discrepancy between the study materials.
Anther example would be the question of whether the Architect should reject work outright that should not have been covered without an inspection by a third party or should the architect warn the contractor that the work may be subject to rejection prior to an inspection.
